The ease of social media
I recently got a new iPhone and have discovered how easy everything is to with the touch of my fingers. I sure everyone knows the ease of use of the iPhone but I really only used my old one for FB and fun games (Angry Birds). But having this new phone I have been able to link my FB my twitter and blogger. This is my first blog via my cell phone. It's amazing how your whole life can be in one little device.
My digital media class has been project after project and this being my last semester I have yet to find time to complete everything nor am I ever home to complete everything. Having a smart phone for example my iPhone I I have been able to complete a lot of business. I have been able to post tweets, check my email, write my blog and my next project is to try and figure out my live blog post. So FUNWORK time........ Please give me advice on how to complete a live blog, and join me for my live blog. It will be before Wednesday. I am planning on completing it Monday night.
P.S after my live blog I promised you Paris fashion it will be time!

SAY WHAT??
External information search? What is this, well it is something each and every one of you do a day. When you want to go look for a shirt, or that really cool jacket that guy was wearing but you didn’t want to ask him because you were to shy. Well when things like this happen what do we do?? We go and look for things online. Social media and internet shopping is taking over. I am currently overwhelmed in projects and posters and Research! Research! Research! but without the internet and social media it would be a lot harder. There is everything from blogs, to online forums, to Facebook and Twitter with the latest gadgets, and new fall season clothing. My last blog post (Like 2 weeks ago OOPS!) I asked you to go out and look at some of my favorite clothing stores to get information (External info!!!!! AHHH!!) on different styles and looks. What did you see? Look at the opening pictures or the New Arrivals (my favorites) I get a lot of ideas from this page. Always search externally! If you are in doubt look at some styles that some trendy students are wearing on campus and make a decision. Finally, check different social media platforms such as blogs and forums for the latest fashion forward item. Who knows you could catch on to something and start a trend. Until next time TTFN J..
BTW- Next time I am going to discuss European fashion from my POV…. I was there 2 months ago and I got some really good ideas. FUNWORK (Yeah I didn’t forget)- Let me know something that is “Fashion Forward” or let me know what social media you are using for Fashion ideas…

If it's bigger than your head.
When creating this blog I had to stop and ask myself… WHERE DO I BEGIN? It was definitely overwhelming because I knew what site to go on to find the blog, and I knew what I wanted to talk about and that was just about it. After getting into content and discussing Content Rules by Handley & Chapman (Shameless Plug) I found something very interesting which I would like to summarize as “Easy Killer.” What I mean by this is start slow. My motto with most of the things that happen in life would have to be “If everything were that easy, I would be a doctor.”(WHICH I AM NOT) And in this book the authors basically talk about starting slow. Find your audience and learn a little about them. Take each bite. Don’t devour the whole Damn thing. So how do you relate this fashion…(Believe me I asked the same thing.) Do you want to look like a model or just a fashionable person? What are you going to do? Go to your closet look at all of your clothes and think????? I don’t have anything. Well you might be wrong and right! Take each step towards looking good ONE STEP AT A TIME. Last time I checked I can’t make money and you can’t either so when shopping or looking at things in magazines or even looking at the mannequin for ideas. (I DO) Only buy one thing from it if you can. If the mannequin has nice socks on him BUY IT.. One step at a time and you will have a makeover before you know it. It takes time and patience. SO FUNWORK TIME!!!!! For the next week go look for one thing you can add to your wardrobe either in store or online.(Websites to my favorites below) Whether it is a scarf, hat, belt, or shirt. ADD IT! And then work with what you have.. P.S your not a model so don’t think like one. Next time I am going to discuss fashion in another country… If you have traveled outside of this GRAND LAND let me know things you have purchased.. UNTIL THEN TTFN!!! oooooo PPS.. Here are some sites I like to use for a little eye shopping... :) H&M , Urban Outfitters , BR , & JCREW

Have FUN being a Creep!
I am giving you permission to be a CREEPER….. Why? It’s all about finding your own style and transforming that to fit YOU. I have heard so many times in marketing classes to be your own brand. What does this mean? You are representing yourself in any form of communication whether it is through a social media outlet, or face-to-face conversation. This took me so long to understand because I was putting anything and everything online. This included photos from the previous night out or words that didn’t need to be heard by small children. But how does this reflect your own style. Well answer this question for me… Would you go to your very first interview out of college in sweat pants, or that party dress that if you sit just right you can see (well just complete that yourself). NOOO you wouldn’t. So when you are going to class everyday or shopping or to a nice restaurant have some Class. Plan an additional 15 minutes into your routine and fix one thing about yourself. (Hair, pants, shoes etc.) Believe me it makes a world of difference. So let’s journey back to being a creeper. Tonight and for the remainder of the week I have some homework (FUNWORK) for you to do. Go online to your favorite social media outlet ( Facebook, Twitter, etc) and look at profile pictures. You’re good a judging! So if they aren’t appropriate pictures, sites, videos then step back and look at your own site. Let me know what you find. Email me photos or stories. J Until next time. TTFN
